Price of a quad bike

The large price difference between ATVs is due to technical complexity and reliability. Based on price level, off-road ATVs can be divided into three technical and price levels:

Level I quad bikes

Recreational, lightweight quad bikes. These are mass-produced, mainly in China, and are the most commonly sold quad bikes, intended for the widest range of consumers. Economical, simple design quad bikes.

Children's quad bikes in this category cost around €550-1,200, while those for adults cost €1,200-3,000.

Their advantages are low purchase price, low operating costs, simple maintenance, and a wide selection of spare parts on the market – most of them are universal and suitable for models from different manufacturers.

These ATVs are designed for riding on light off-road terrain, i.e., surfaces that you would drive on in a light car. If you use a quad bike of this level in very rugged or obstacle-strewn terrain, you will need to repair the suspension and other components frequently if you use it for many hours per week.

These ATVs are purchased worldwide for children and teenagers, and are chosen by consumers who do not require technical sports characteristics and do not want to invest heavily.

Level II quad bikes

These are manufactured in Korea or sometimes China, for example, and have a globally recognized brand name that has been around for many years, such as Kymco, Shineray, and Linhai. They are also intended for a wide range of consumers, but with a larger than economical budget.

Children's quad bikes of this level cost around EUR 2,500-3,500, while those for adults cost around EUR 4,500 and up.

They use higher-tech components, stronger steel for the frame, etc.

Their advantage is that they are more reliable than Level I vehicles when used on light off-road terrain. They are not yet suitable for serious sports.

When buying this level of equipment, it is important not to make a mistake. Brand names quickly appear and disappear on the market, so it is sometimes difficult to understand whether a little-known name represents a good product or is just a marketing ploy to raise the price of a cheap product. Before buying a quad bike of this level, find out if the seller sells parts for it and what the delivery terms are.

Manufacturers often create unique components, so a reliable supply of spare parts is very important.

Level III quad bikes

These are ATVs manufactured in Europe, America, and Japan that have been well-known on the market for many years, such as KTM, Yamaha, Honda, Can Am, Polaris, and others. They are designed for users who participate in sports, do heavy farm work, or ride for pleasure, with the ability to put the vehicle through the kind of stress that occurs in sports.

The price of these ATVs is significantly higher than other models. Children's ATVs of this level cost from €2,800, while those for adults cost from around €10,000.

Their design is based on the latest technology, using high-tech materials. If you can afford to buy such a vehicle and will be riding it on light off-road terrain, for example, it will serve you for a very long time.

It is important to remember that even ATVs of this level require very careful maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements. Otherwise, repairs will be very expensive. Parts for these ATVs cost approximately 3-5 times more than those for Level I ATVs.
