Description

Measures and records engine operation time automatically. Displays engine RPM. Service mode for timely oil change, piston, piston ring, spark plug maintenance and other routine tasks (programmable). Small size: 52x46mm, mounted with screws.

Suitable for motorcycles, quad bikes, snowmobiles, boats, generators.

Engine operation time monitor- tachometer SY-N3.

Power source: internal lithium-ion battery. Connects to spark plug, displays engine operation time, engine RPM, service mode. Before changing settings makes sure that the engine is off.

Connection: Unpack the meter and fix it to a convenient place. Turn the wire around the spark plug wire 3-4 tunes. LCD screen will show total engine hours and hour icon will show up.

Tachometer setup: Push and hold S1 button for 4 seconds.

Indication will show up in the LCD screen:

01 (spark plug produces a spark twice per engine stroke)

02 (spark plug produces a spark once per engine stroke )

03 (spark plug gives a spark every second engine stroke)

04 (operation hour monitoring only)

When the desired indication appears release S1 button.

LCD screen will blink for 8-10 seconds and return to hour monitoring mode.

Default factory set mode - 02 (spark plug gives a spark once per engine stroke).

Service interval setup: Press and hold S2 button for 4 seconds.

LCD screen will blink and SERVICE indicator will show up in the right corner. By pressing and holding S1 button in service mode, service interval will rise automatically in the LCD screen. When you'll see the desired time (1,2,3,4,5, etc. hours) release S1 button and press S2 button for 1 second this will take you to the next interval setup. Repeat the previous steps until you program the desired time values. You'll return to the operation hour monitoring mode after not pressing any buttons for 14-16 seconds.

Activation of service intervals: Press and hold S1 and S2 buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds. The 2 numbers in the LCD screen will change from 00 seconds to 09 seconds and return to operation hour monitoring mode. When the engine is running and service mode set time changes to 0 time value, service mode icon will show up in the right corner of the meter.

Service interval overview: Press and hold S2 button for 4 seconds, the remaining time until the programmed service period finish will show up in the LCD screen. If you want to continue time counting until the service you do not need to press any additional buttons. If you want to program a new service time, repeat the earlier steps (Service interval setup and activation). Every time you want to check the remaining time until a service, press and hold S2 button.

Service interval reset: Press and hold S1 and S2 buttons for 20 seconds. The service mode icon on the LCD screen will turn off. Service time values will automatically reset to previously programmed values.

Turning on only the service hour display function: Press and hold S1 button until 04 indication turns on. Release S1 button and the screen will return to operation hour mode after 8-10 seconds. When the engine is running only the operation hours will be displayed and hour icon will flash.

Service and operation hour reset: Press and hold S1 button until 05 indication shows up on the screen. Release S1 button and the screen will return to operation hour mode after 8 seconds. Press and hold S1 and S2 buttons simultaneously for 20 seconds, the meter will restart and RESET indicator will show up on the screen.
